Overview

Choosing the right kindergarten is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for your child. At CCA, we partner with parents to create a nurturing and engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to explore a learning environment rooted in joy as well as growth. Five-year-olds experience a variety of subjects, ideas, and activities to spark their curiosity and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. The CCA kindergarten experience truly provides, for each child, a Joyful Start to Learning!

Starting kindergarten is a big step, and it’s natural to have questions. At CCA, we recognize that every child begins kindergarten with different skills and experiences, and we are here to help them and meet them where they are.

  • Is my child prepared?
  • Will they feel supported and cared for?
  • And will they love coming to school each day?

At CCA, we understand these concerns. That’s why we begin the CCA school year by introducing clear rules and routines, creating a sense of structure and security. We take time to build a classroom community where students feel comfortable, supported, and ready to learn.

Each child is different.  Each child is valued!

Our teachers meet each child where they are through a combination of whole-group, small-group, and one-on-one instruction. We reinforce what they learned in K4 while targeting specific skills to help them grow. In our Christ-centered classrooms, your child will be known, loved, and encouraged every step of the way. Teachers give each student the attention they need — whether they’re improving their reading, exploring exciting STEM activities, or learning about God’s love through prayer and worship. It’s a place where curiosity is sparked, friendships are made, and faith is nurtured. All of that together sets the stage for a lifetime of growth and learning.

CCA’s kindergartners thrive through:

Christ-Centered Environment

Knowing and loving God is woven into every part of your child’s day. From daily Bible lessons to weekly chapel services, children experience God’s Word in ways that are meaningful and age appropriate. Our kindergarteners learn about Jesus through interactive Bible storybooks and explore deeper lessons using vibrant picture cards from the Bob Jones Curricukum. Teachers model Christlike behavior and guide children in practicing the Fruits of the Spirit—such as using gentle hands, kind words, and showing love to one another.

Character Formation

At CCA, the Christ centered environment builds strong habits and develops character through positive reinforcement. Your child will learn values like truthfulness, responsibility, and kindness by role-playing with puppets, and listening to Bible stories. From the very first day, students learn about the Fruits of the Spirit — traits like kindness, patience, and love. Daily Bible lessons and weekly chapel services provide opportunities for children to understand and live out their faith. Teachers model the Fruits of the Spirit daily, cultivating an environment where students learn to treat others the way Jesus would.

Lively, Enriched Classrooms

We combine structured learning with engaging, hands-on activities that ring lessons to life. From exploring science concepts through sensory play to creating art inspired by Bible stories, our curriculum fosters curiosity and creativity.  In our lively classrooms, you can expect your child to enjoy music, art, learning centers, small group work, and more.

Creating Independent Learners

We also focus on developing your child’s independent skills. Whether they’re unpacking their backpacks, hanging up their coats, or learning to manage their lunch, children at FPA grow in responsibility and readiness.

Confidence Builders

How do you lay the groundwork for a child’s lifelong love of learning? CCA, we create a supportive environment where children gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need for today — and for the future.

Safety, a top priority

All staff undergo DSS background checks. Other security measures include locked exterior and interior doors, armed security, security cameras, and communication tools such as walkie-talkies and intercom systems to ensure a secure environment.

Core Subjects

Core subjects such as Language arts, math, science, social studies, and Bible are integrated into the Bob Jones Curriculum to create a strong foundation for your child’s learning journey.

Trips on Comfortable Motor Coach

There is nothing ordinary about CCA, including its mode of transportation. Our youngest cougars are always on the go, traveling on a comfortable, spacious and air conditioned MCI motor coach, and participate in a vibrant program of activities, which enhances their core curriculum. These little learners enjoy local visits and field trips where they can be found engaged in many activities from visiting a fire station, to picking a pumpkin at a pumpkin patch to laughing at the monkeys at the Riverbank Zoo. Parents are invited on these trips and often have more fun than the children.

Dedicated Teachers

Our teachers model a biblical, grace-centered Christian life and worldview. They treat each child as their own, fostering a close-knit, family atmosphere. Whether your child is strengthening early reading skills, mastering new math concepts, or building fine motor skills, they’ll receive the care and attention needed to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Parent Partnership, Building Trust

We value strong communication between school and home. Teachers send weekly newsletters and frequent emails to keep you informed about your child’s progress and classroom activities. We warmly invite parents and grandparents to participate in various events—Grandparents Breakfast, thanksgiving meal, field trips, Christmas and easter concerts, etc. We seek to foster a family atmosphere where you’re an integral part of your child’s educational journey. We want parents’ involvement so they can see firsthand that we are committed to being trustworthy.

Will My Child Ready for First Grade?

This intentional approach ensures that your child should be ready to step confidently into elementary school.
