PEERS And Biblical Worldview

How can teachers and parents know whether students are truly learning a particular subject?

The most reliable way is through testing. Without measurable assessments, much of what we assume about student learning is just guesswork. This is just as true for biblical worldview education as it is for math, science, or literature.

Research shows that not all Christian schools are equally effective in teaching students to think biblically. In fact, not all schools even prioritize this as an educational goal.

To help address this need, the Nehemiah Institute developed the PEERS test, which assesses a student’s biblical worldview across five key areas: Politics, Economics, Education, Religion, and Social Issues. The PEERS test is currently the only nationally normed biblical worldview assessment in the United States.

At CCA, all students in grades 9 through 12 take the PEERS test annually. In some years, our students have achieved the highest biblical worldview scores in the nation. For parents who consider a biblical worldview to be a critical part of their child’s education, reviewing a school’s PEERS test results is an essential step in the decision-making process
