The Wachovia Commons & Patio
School life is a vibrant mix of learning, friendship, and growth—and one essential ingredient that enhances this experience is the school cafeteria. Far more than just a place to eat a meal, the cafeteria plays a vital role in student well-being and helps foster a positive school environment.
At CCA, the full-service cafeteria—the Wachovia Commons—offers a variety of options designed to be both delicious and nutritious. Students enjoy balanced meals that include fruits, vegetables, proteins, and grains—everything they need to fuel their minds and bodies. Proper nutrition not only keeps students energized and focused but also supports cognitive development, boosts attendance, and contributes to stronger academic performance.
The Wachovia Commons also recognizes that every student is unique. Whether a child has allergies, follows cultural dietary practices, or simply has specific tastes, daily entrée selections allow each student to choose something that fits their needs. This thoughtful approach ensures that all students feel included and cared for.
But food is only part of the story. The Wachovia Commons is also a hub of connection—a place where students can take a break from academics, enjoy time with friends, and experience community in an environment where everyone feels equal, regardless of background. The social benefits of this shared space are just as important as the meals themselves.
And there’s more! Drumroll, please… introducing the Wachovia Commons Patio. On beautiful days, students can step outside through the back door and find themselves in a welcoming outdoor space. Powder-coated picnic tables with colorful umbrellas provide the perfect setting to relax, laugh, share stories, and enjoy the fresh air. The outdoor Patio gives students a chance to recharge, develop social skills, and savor a joyful break, once a day for everyone and twice day through the 4th grade, mid-morning and lunch time.
Together, the Wachovia Commons and Patio nourish both body and spirit—making them central to the CCA experience.
